After 4 years...
I am back in this land of GB. That explains my long absence from blogworld. Those final few weeks before the departure were depressing, stressful and melancholic. First my resignation from the firm (finally! Bye bye EY!), then came Raya, packing up, meeting and saying farewells to friends and families...
I used to want to give my all to return here after I came back in July 2006.
Now? I wish I was more thankful and grateful for everything that I had back in my homeland.
Dasar manusia, memang tak pernah bersyukur dengan apa yang ada!!!
Anyway, hope I can learn and experience new things, to bring back sweet memories when our time is up. Not everyone dare to take this risk and be given this opportunity.
Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha to everyone!

Selamat Hari Raya!
Day 29th.
Last day of tarawikh, insha Allah.
So excited, first time raya as husband and wife :D
But husband is still not here...waiting on our visa which is not ready yet.
And probably will not be ready by next week as well.
Which only means one thing.
Flight to the UK has to be delayed (which already is, by the way, to Oct 1st).
Me - Happy lah, can raya longer in Malaysia...weehuu!!
Hubby - Not happy, if he happens to be missing any classes...Kesian la pulak kat pakcik tu...Excited nor nak masuk kelas balik...
Maybe there is a blessing in disguise - insha Allah we will able to meet both of extended families during this Raya, ever since our marriage we did not really properly visit all the relatives and thank them for attending our wedding and of course, get to know each other better...Also, a proper farewell before both of us are off to the UK...
Whoever wants to visit us this raya - you're most welcomed!
Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin...

Rock on 3
Today, 3rd Sept 2007 commemorates the 3-year anniversary of me being a mere employee of a reputable big 4 accounting firm.
What initially planned to be a 2-year stint extended to an additional year.
Despite all everything - hellish workload, even more hellish managers and practically everyone in the firm, it's not that bad, really. You may break down and give up but I think it is all worth it in the end.
If I am not going to the UK I might still be around in the firm for another year, I think. Or two. Maybe three?
I guess time's up for me.
Oh! 3 years also means I have fulfilled the criteria to apply my way in to this secret-strictly-by-invitation-only elite club which is more like a super funky bar designed to look like an adult entertainment set, where sun-kissed goddesses wait on cashed-up men. Erm, not :P
Hmm now to think of something "special" to treat myself after all these years...

When you're just an employee
Recently tendered my resignation at a reputable accounting firm. Needless to say I am pretty disappointed with how they deal with the staff welfare.
Not to mention that my hard-earned OT hours thrown down the drain (I am aware of this matter but when it actually happened to me, oh well, I know I shouldn't have given 110% for the past 3 yrs :P )
Definitely not the ridiculous policy of not allowing a resignee to utilise their annual leaves (AL).
Or when they ask back for an expense reimbursement recently cleared in yours truly paycheck.
But when they told that their policy is to purposely withhold your 1-page general testimonial which is probably printed from a template and signed, for 6 effin months at least -
...that is just a stroke that broke the camel's back.

So Long...
Been ages since I last wrote! Haha. OK to recap (and insha Allah will elaborate in future entries):-
1. Bought myself a spiffy new camera! Yay!
2. Going to say the final bye bye to my firm in 6 days' time (after exactly 3 yrs)
3. Will fly off to the UK on 2nd day of Raya
Too many things happening...no time to think or feel about the events going on around me...

Musim kahwin
Oh it's the wedding season again.
There were so many invitation cards on the coffee table at home.
Reminds me of my own wedding(s).
Which again, reminds me that I haven't really wrote much about my weddings, have I?
Will make it a point to write about things that happen just before, during and after the weddings, lest I forgot as time goes by.
Miss my weddings :(

Mok
Saya sudah gemuk.
Sangat terasa di bahagian paha, seluar ketat!
Now I am running out of pants to wear. I just feel like locking myself up in the room and not see the world. Then I can hide from everyone, and huddled on a corner of my bed in my comfy baggy pyjama bottom.
I wish that wearing baggy pyjama bottom as an office-wear is considered cool and hip (pun intended).
Solutions for a slimmer pair of legs:
1. More gym visits - treadmill, cycling and elliptical for cardio, leg press for weight resistance.
2. Puasa!! - lagi 3 hari to replace before the next Ramadhan. Attempt to wake up for sahur every single day of last week failed! And now am on red flag pula, sigh!
3. Bootcamp!!! A friend's friend lost 15kg on this one-month programme. Very intense training,
satisfaction guaranteed!
