Rest and Responsibility

Why don't some people just take charge of their own job? Where is their sense of responsibility?

We know lah you're on a vacation. We totally understand the situation you're going through, we stretch all the way out to stand-in on behalf of you when you're away.

But hey, it doesn't mean once you board on the next plane out you can wave your responsibility goodbye. Remember that someone else had to endure an extra work baggage just to let yourself have a bit of fun in the sun.

Ultimately, if we're facing a bit of a difficulty about your job, we expect to be able to turn to you for advise (though it doesn't help what you left us is a big pile of *censored*). My dear, not that we are too dense to have your number on speed dial and bug you every 2 hours with phone calls. We know how it feels to be distracted on your vacation. All we ask is one text reply. Which is crucial for the benefit of the team, and future for some. Give us an indication pls! One indication, that's all we need. So we can all move on.

And when your job interferes with my job and my future, I think that's too much. I got to take care of the eggs in my own basket too, if you know what I mean.
